​MICHIKO OGAWA(MICHIKO O)
Michiko Ogawa(Michiko O) is specializing in the clarinets, born and raised in Tokyo, Japan. She performs not only classical repertoire but also contemporary and experimental musics, including free improvisation and film soundtrack work. Recently she also performs with Hammond organ and  "sho"; Japanese bamboo organ..
 
She has worked with Toshi Ichiyanagi, Helmut Lachenmann, Richard Barrett, Hunjoo Jung, Cat Lamb, Charles Curtis, Anthony Burr, Erik Carlson, Greg Stuart, Vicki Ray, among others, and also collaborating with Sam Dunscombe, Taku Sugimoto, James Rushford, Carolyn Chen, Golden Fur, Manuel Lima, Jonny Chang, Lucy Railton and Klaus Lang.  
SHE IS ONE OF THE CORE MEMBERS OF COLLECTIVELY ORIENTED HARMONIC SPACE ORCHESTRA IN BERLIN SINCE 2019.

She also frequently collaborates with visual artists, such Angela Jennings, Lindsay Bloom,  Brianna Rigg, Laurence Fabre and Sabina Maselli. 

She has been RESEARCHING on the film music of Teiji Ito and she is currently working on his biography.

She worked as an associate-in for teaching clarinet at the University of California (San Diego) during 2015-2017.
